Hey Dan!
Interesting article! I actually wrote my essay on the same chapter along with chapter 2. I kind of felt the same way about how we view our creative work. It really shouldn't matter how we create our ideas and concepts, but just to keep in mind that we had minds before computers and we don't have to rely on software, its just that it's more convenient for us as designers. Comparing to Heller's view on how we as people would be without the digital world, in your opinion, how do you think you as a graphic designer would have to design if the digital world and software weren't available? How might you as an designer change you outlook on "good design?"

Sup Dan,
As far as the Doc talking about who we are shapes what we create, I can totally agree with that. I know depending on what kind of mood I'm in, or the event throughout my life, shapes my projects. The question you ask about some people being able to have a more avanced mental software than other, I think it goes both ways. You point out some good things like people having hereditary problems, or mental problems that hinder their capacity to run more advanced software. The example you give of the kid in class whos always asking whats going on, is one annoying, and two, I think it feed two factors. Yes, he could be incapable of running the modern programs due to lack of requirements, or it could be like the Doc said, who he is has shaped what he is. Just because he's not running the advanced program doesn't mean he can't. He may just simply be lazy or doesn't care to upgrade. All in all good question about the advanced programs in our heads.
